Thinking of where to start with Aubrey & Joe’s wedding is super difficult. From the time we first met I knew they were going to be more than clients but like dear friends to me; we ended up talking over 3 hours and left when the restaurant was almost closed, only to talk more in the parking lot on a cold winter night.
Fast forward to fall after chatting for months through email and becoming Facebook friends; it was time to see them together on their gorgeous wedding day. Aubrey & Joe compliment each other so well. Aubrey is sweet, loving, and down to earth. Joe is also down to earth, funny, and a true gentleman with Aubrey. I could tell their bond was strong during our first meeting and their engagement shoot, but I saw it the most when they laid eyes on each for the first time on the day of their wedding.
That first moment of seeing his beautiful bride.
The Monarch Event Space was so beautiful with its dozens of butterflies floating from the ceiling and it was even more stunning with Aubrey & Joe’s special touches.
I think this sums them up so well; so full of love, happiness, and always having fun together. <3
Alexcia & Jack exchanged vows on a Friday afternoon with close loved ones in attendance; the beautiful pond in Tower Grove Park was the perfect backdrop as golden light glimmered. The park’s resident horse, Jimmy Joe, took them on a sweet stroll through the area which made for the perfect ending. <3
There are just too many awesome elements from Lauren & Michael’s wedding day; exchanging their vows in Crave coffee house on the campus of SLU, a snow cone happy hour, a blue ’63 Bel Air, and the best part of all the beautiful Lauren & Michael with their sweet love that began in high school. <3
Rain could not keep Angie & Andrew from having an amazing time at their wedding celebrations held at the Old Stone Chapel. Angie remained so positive and vibrant throughout the day that I think the rain knew to stay away during their outdoor photos. 😉 The best part is their love story which began in high school as a friendship, Angie shared with me their sweet vows to each other:
Andrew’s vows:
Angie – we’ve known each other for half of our lives now and we’ve created quite a history between us. I remember the first time I saw you – we were walking past each other freshman year of high school at a basketball game – you were walking out of the building and I was walking in. I wouldn’t say that it was exactly love at first sight but you definitely made an impression on me. I don’t recall exactly what you said but I do remember that you were by far the most happy and outgoing person that I had met so far in my life and I knew that I liked you.
Soon enough we became friends and after a while we were spending a lot of time together – riding to school in the morning, hanging out after school, and going out on the weekends. My friends would accuse me of being stuck in the “friend zone” but I was happy to be there. Soon enough we both decided that we liked each other more than friends and tried to make things work between us, although some would say that it took us long enough to get to that point.
It’s our friendship that is the foundation of our relationship. No matter what happens between us we always have that to fall back on.
I know you better than anyone else. I know your strengths and weaknesses and I love all of it. I know exactly who you are and I wouldn’t change one thing about you.
I promise to always work on bettering myself, improving our relationship and trying every day to be someone that you can trust. I promise to always stand by you and be on the same team. When times get tough I promise to stay and work things out. I don’t plan on going anywhere and I’m in this for the long haul. I love you more than words can say and I couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of my life with you.
Angie’s vows:
Well, you can’t say that we rushed into this. I have loved you for half of my life and I am looking forward to loving you for the rest of it. Every time I think I have you figured out, you surprise me. You have taught me to go for what I want in life and that good things come when you work hard for it. You make me want to be the best possible person I can be and I hope to someday (hopefully) have some of the levelheadedness you always seem to have. You always find the silver lining in every situation.
How lucky am I to get to spend the rest of my life with someone who makes me laugh every day?
I will fight for our future together, no matter what challenges we face. I promise to fight for your dreams, even when you think you can’t anymore. I promise to do my best to love you, even when I don’t especially like you. You bring so much excitement, happiness, comfort and joy to my life.
We make a great team. Let’s grow really, really old together.
Sister love <3
My husband, Beau, also produced a video from Angie & Andrew’s big day. He had so much fun with his wedding video of Ellen & Jay in May that he’s been excitedly working on more video projects. He and I have decided that it’s a great idea to now offer music video and other cinematic services, we recognize and value how truly awesome it is to document stories through both photographs and video. We hope you also enjoy Angie & Andrew’s video below! 🙂
Ellen & Jay’s wedding on the last day of May will go down in the record books. Their celebration had so many awesome elements from the light blush accents to the surprise saxophone player at the end of the night. Ellen & Jay couldn’t have been any more fun to work with, we are so lucky to have had a small part in their day! 🙂
As some of you already know, my husband Beau has recently been producing videos. He accompanied me at Ellen & Jay’s wedding and put together a music video from their day, I am suuuper excited and proud to share it with you all too! Watch the entire production at the bottom of this post, his cinematography skills are such an awesome addition to reliving their wedding moments! 😀
A quick stop by Ellen & Jay’s first apartment entrance. <3
Stylish groomsmen need photos too. 😉
I just LOVE how the light made a heart near Ellen & Jay.
Ellen’s reaction to the surprise saxophone player = the best. 😀
We hope you also enjoy Ellen & Jay’s music video below! 🙂
