We waited patiently through the winter months for the snow to arrive and for a while it looked like it wasn’t going to happen. In late February Lauren got her wish of snow for their engagement photos, it was sooo worth the wait. Lauren & Mike ice skated at the same place he proposed a few months before, followed by an adventure around the snow-filled forest where they made it look easy to be super cold while making amazing photos together. <3
Erin & Andy are good friends with Liz & Nate, so it’s no surprise at all they are a super sweet couple. Andy told me how it’s become a family tradition to enjoy Main Street in Saint Charles around the holidays so it made perfect sense to have their winter engagement shoot among the historic area. The winter chill didn’t keep them from being amazing together, and as Andy pointed out, they will have the best of both worlds with their engagement photos in winter and their wedding in the warm light of August. 🙂

Rosalie & Josh first dated in high school and about ten years later they reunited, and in just over a week they will say “I do”. I was already booked for their wedding date but Rosalie wanted to do an engagement shoot with me anyways. 🙂 We strolled around and enjoyed the Botanical Gardens, although it was a very rainy day it stopped for us right before their session. As we were walking along, Rosalie gave me one of the sweetest compliments ever, ” Your pictures remind me of Elizabeth Messina’s”. Ummm whoa! Elizabeth is one of my photography idols so Rosalie’s comment is something I’ll never forget. <3
