Engaged | Jill & Chris

Jill & Chris really nailed their engagement session by having it in their beautiful home and nearby neighborhood park. Their cat, Beaker, even made an appearance and my animal loving heart skipped a beat as he was the first cat to join in on an engagement session. 🙂 Chris played classic rock albums (LOVE!), they sipped Moscow mules together, and Chris kept Jill laughing and smiling throughout the evening. I had such a great time documenting these two and I’m super excited to see them again this fall at their STL Zoo wedding! <3

I just love shooting engagement sessions because every time it’s another adventure I get to go on with our couples. For Amber & Justin’s session we went to Castlewood State Park where they skipped rocks along the sandy banks of the Meramec River, walked in a pebbly creek, hiked trails leading to cliffy views, had beautiful deer visitors in an open field, and ended with a fiery sunset.

If you’ve never been to this wonderful park in the STL area I highly recommend checking it out! <3

I really can’t put into words how much I loved spending time with Morgan & Paul in DC for their engagement session. We adventured around so many amazing places in our nation’s capitol, it’s hard to pick favorites. Their love for each other and fun they have together is so apparent it made my part super fun and easy. Thanks for the DC adventure Morgan & Paul, can’t wait for your big day next year! <3

Engaged | Katie & Ryan at Garden of the Gods, Colorado

My photographer dreams are set ablaze in the mountains. A couple in love hiking through the Rockies, stopping for a picnic and Colorado craft beer, standing on mountaintops, the sun dipping in and out of clouds that seem touchable from thousands of feet above sea level.

Ryan & Katie hiked the Garden of the Gods in Colorado just days before his deployment to Afghanistan. What a blessing it was to witness these two in love and to capture this super special and emotional time in their lives. Thoughts and prayers for Ryan’s safety and for all of our service men and women. <3
