Danielle & Mitchell were a photographer’s dream: they went along with any crazy idea I threw their way, they had fun and were relaxed, and they were totally into one another, which makes for some of the sweetest photos. 😉
Last week, I received the exciting news that I was chosen as one of The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2013 Pick. This is a such a huge honor; if I could reach through the computer and bear hug all of my awesome couples I totally would. But alas I can not, so my second choice is to say a thousand virtual thank yous :). Without you all, none of this would be possible, and for that I am sooo thankful. You all mean so much to me and I am overwhelmed by your love, support, and friendship everyday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. xoxo ~Ali
A couple fun facts about me are 1) I absolutely love checking out new areas and exploring what it has to offer. 2) I just miiiight be a fan of the show America’s Next Top Model, I’ll admit I fall victim to reality shows too often 🙂 Sometimes on the show Tyra Banks coaches aspiring models to have their best ‘smize’, smiling with their eyes. You may or may not hear me reference the show or smizing while out shooting 😉 Then, bring in Trista and Nick. A couple that first dated in middle school, so they’re already super adorable together. Put it all together, and what you get is Trista and Nick’s engagement session. I really hit it big with these two because not only did we go all around O’Fallon, MO, an area I don’t get to shoot often, but also, Trista is a master of the smize. She has some stunningly pretty eyes and when Nick’s around they light up even more.
Awesome smize giiirl! So pretty in color and b&w I had to share both.
Mickey, their fur baby, likes snuggles too 🙂
Love.
Thanks so much for a fun evening you two, can’t wait for your gorgeous Statler Ballroom wedding next August! ***
Erin & Don were part of a wedding party I photographed earlier this year and judging from the massive amounts of laughs and fun they had that night, their wedding day will be one awesome event. We explored different areas of the city for their engagement session, they even brought along their fur baby Oskar for some photos, LOVE it! We ended the night at a local pub where Erin & Don shared a cross word puzzle, one of their favorite things to do together. I can’t think of a greater way to end an evening, cold beer in hand with your love by your side.
One of my favorite things to do is explore.  Whether it’s around the wildflowers in our Missouri fields or downtown St. Louis where the forest is made from bricks and concrete; it’s always great to get out and see what new things can be discovered. Megan & Eric are so awesome because they were totally down with exploring the city, it was so fun and I’d say we found some pretty rad spots. And what’s even better, a train started chugging along the tracks right at the end of their session to help us make pictures I’ve been dreaming of capturing. I can’t wait to see what fun we can have again soon, see y’all in November at the wedding! 😀
